Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Reunite On Breaking Dawn Red Carpet, Fireworks! Romance! Orgasms!

By  |

After four long months of scandal, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson walked the Breaking Dawn, Part 2 red carpet together last night as if nothing had happened. As if Kristen Stewart hadn't trampled on the hearts of Twihards everywhere by cheating on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. As if we didn't know the name Liberty Sanders and we didn't know that the wrath of loyal fans would lead to them latching onto the nickname trampire.

Nope, everything's back to normal in Robsten land. Except of course nothing's normal because all of this did happen. Kristen Stewart did get caught cheating on Robert Pattinson — and before that she did say all sorts of vague things that alluded to the fact she found her career boring and wanted a way to spice it up. And the affair did coincide nicely with the premiere of Cosmopolis and On the Road. And both those films did seem to get a considerable amount of press because of their affair.

Cosmopolis did do better than similar films that are more critically acclaimed and people did pay attention to On the Road because it was the first time Kristen Stewart appeared publicly post affair. We did talk about this couple for months on end and we did analyze their behavior more critically than ever before. This affair did cause a media storm that has yet to subside and it did make Breaking Dawn a talking point for people who would have never thought about the film.

So we can enjoy these red carpet photos and we can gush about their romantic reconciliation. But we can't act like nothing happened. We can't pretend that we're talking about them simply because they're walking the red carpet for their movie. Everything that's happened in the past few months have lead up to this moment, this magical moment where true love overcomes true lust. Where the hard work of publicists, managers and studios all comes together to make you care about this reunion.

Was this entire affair a publicity stunt? We'll never know for sure. All we do know is that we're still talking about the movie's leads, and at the end of the day I think that's what anyone involved in a movie wants to hear.
