Kris Jenner Kills The Kardashian Fanzine

Kris Jenner Kills The Kardashian Fanzine kris jenner jpgWe’re split upon hearing that the proposed Kardashian family fanzine isn’t actually going through. For one, it would have been yet another way to hear all about the family’s antics, a new level of fan dedication after the E! reality shows and Twitter stalking. But we would probably have hated ourselves for reading it. What’s really funny, though, is the alleged reason for the deal falling through: Momager Kris Jenner‘s diva demands for complete editorial control.

Someone was obviously watching too much The Devil Wears Prada… although Kris’ haircut does match Meryl Streep‘s Miranda Frost hair in the movie.

The New York Post‘s Page Six reports that American Media Inc. (or AMI) was completely turned off by Kris’ demand that she have editorial control over which Kardashian stories appear in AMI’s publications: Shape, Star, National Enquirer, and Radar Online. Even though Kris tried to sweeten the deal by promising to give them every scoop on her overexposed family, AMI “balked.”

Then came last week’s rumor that Khloe Kardashian‘s real father is not Kris’ then-husband Robert Kardashian… a story that ran in Star. Despite Kris’ denials and demands that the story be removed, a source says, “AMI chief David Pecker made it clear that there was no way he was going to tell his editors what stories they could and couldn’t do.” Kris removed all Kardashian product ads from Star, and here we are.

Her rep denies that Kris ever had the heated conversation with AMI, but the rep also adds (yet again) that the Khloe rumor is false. That Kris, always thinking of the big picture.
