I generally don't have a whole lot of faith in humanity, but one thing gives me hope that maybe we'll be okay. That thing is how determined people are to hate on Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas. It warms my heart with every snarky review I read. And now we can all die happy and victorious, because it's officially the worst movie in the history of movies. #Blessed.

Of course, there's no way to definitively determine what the worst movie ever is, since that's a matter of opinion. But IMDb has a list called the “Bottom 100,” which ranks the worst-rated movies on the site. Saving Christmas is currently at #1, which means it has the lowest rating of all. What rating is that, you ask? Right now it's 1.3 stars. That's a whole half a star less than Birdemic: Shock and Terror.

Please excuse me while I wipe away this tear. I'm just so proud. Look what people can accomplish when we come together over our dislike of a self-righteous former child star and his ignorant and antiquated views. In case you didn't know, Kirk's movie is all about the so-called “war on Christmas” supposedly being waged by people who understand the separation of church and state and use filthy phrases like “Happy Holidays” and “Season's Greetings” and invade good Christian homes to destroy their nativity scenes with baseball bats and replace them with statues of Satan. Or at least that's probably what Kirk imagines happens.

Did everyone who gave Kirk's movie a low score even see it? Probably not. Do I care? Definitely not. Kirk himself initially tried to cheat his way to a fresher Rotten Tomatoes score by asking his Facebook fans to vote it higher, which of course led all of the “haters and atheists” to do the opposite. Probably the sort of people whose mothers didn't bake enough Christmas joy into their pies.
