Of Course Kris Jenner Thought Khloe Should Get A Nose Job At Age 9

Somehow, despite being the daughter of Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian has seemingly turned out pretty well.  She's arguably the most tolerable of the Kardashian Klan, and is always waxing poetic about being confident and proud of her body.  Except for that time she was nine years old and overheard her mom talking about how she needed a nose job. Yeah, that happened.  I don't think I'm surprised Kris Jenner would do such a thing so much as I'm horrified on wee little Khloe's behalf.  The most we can hope for to rectify such damaging behavior is that E! films Kris' reaction to Khloe's admission to Cosmo U.K. and that she at least has enough grace to act shameful for the cameras.

“Words are the most powerful weapon; they can leave scars forever. She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mum telling her friend I needed a nose job. I was shocked; I hadn’t even thought about it. I’ve grown into my face but I’ve had makeup artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.’ I’m so happy that I never have.”

Well, color me happy too!  And if Khloe truly doesn't suffer from a severe complex about herself, you can also color me shocked.  I know all too well how much mothers' opinions can affect a small child, and I know how hard it is to overcome those kinds of (hopefully unconscious) attempts to shape young minds that way. Since Kris is pretty public about playing favorites with her kids, I can only imagine how many other damaging remarks/actions occurred in the Kardashian/Jenner household that we don't know about, but I think most of us can agree that (albeit horrible) things like this are probably why Khloe has the best personality out of all of her siblings.

While I hate myself for caring so much about a member of the Kardashian family, I hope you'll join me in wishing Khloe a healthy and happy new year, because 2013 was not kind to her.  If for no other reason than it makes me feel less pathetic.  Cheers!
