Khloe Kardashian Talks Fertility Issues, Should Teach ‘Refreshing Honesty’ Lessons

Instead of over-sharing like her mom and sisters, Khloe seems to have somehow discovered how to keep things to herself and then revealing them in a natural, appropriate way. This behavior is particularly impressive in a family that steals each others' breast milk in hopes of soothing their psoriasis, and smells each others' vaginas. Well actually, to be fair, Khloe was part of that whole vadge sniffing exercise, but there are other things she knows how to keep private, so we'll give her the benefit of the doubt. One such personal topic that we haven't really heard Khloe speak on is her own struggles with fertility. There's always been rampant discussion throughout the media about it, but Khloe has largely kept it to herself, and only now is she opening up in any detail about what exactly she's going through. On an upcoming episode of Kourtney And Kim Take Miami, Khloe tells her step-brother Brandon:

“I found out I don’t ovulate, and now my uterus lining isn’t thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus lining thicker. If that doesn’t get thicker, then I cannot carry a baby.”

I really respect and appreciate that Khloe was so specific about what the doctor told her. A huge percentage of women struggle with infertility, but you have to have a certain amount of strength to speak about it publicly like Khloe's doing. Somehow, even though she's allowing a camera crew into her life like the rest of her family, Khloe's revelation comes off as genuine rather than exploitative, which is opposite of the way the rest of her siblings tend to skew. She apparently didn't even discuss her pregnancy issues with her full family when she first found out about them, and the refreshing thing about this conversation is that it encourages Kourtney to reach out to her sister as well and offer to be a surrogate, if she's interested.

Khloe sounds more dubious than anything that her sister could carry a Khloe – Lamar Odom bun in that tiny Kourtney oven, but she thought it was really sweet of her sister to offer, and I agree. Can we make sure all the Kardashians make time to hang out with Khloe in subsequent episodes? I want her maturity and self-awareness to rub off on them.
