Here’s The Secret That No One Wants To Tell Kendall Jenner About Her Modeling Career
17-year-old Kendall Jenner continues to make confusing statements about her career and her life to publications. For the second time in just a few weeks, she's expressed her need for privacy while simultaneously doing something very public. Now I know she's only 17 and I know that growing up in the Kardashian-Jenner-E! home must be very confusing, but the solution to her problem seems so simple. Stop modeling. Stop doing interviews. Stop posting everything to your social media accounts. It's amazing how little the press can find out when you stop talking to them.
This month's contradictory quotes from the very popular magazine Cosmopolitan. In between posing for them, she repeated her now familiar refrain that she's struggling with the balance between her family's show and her need for privacy.
“The show [Keeping up With the Kardashians] brought us everything we have, and I realize that, but sometimes I just want to be left alone and be a normal kid for like five minutes. That’s tough when the paparazzi are chasing you.”
And then, as she presumably wiped tears from her face, she goes onto tell them that her next movie is, “not a reality-show spin-off. That’s not happening. Modeling is my number one priority – one hundred percent.” If she wants to be a model, great! Go for it! But if she wants privacy, she needs to take a moment and really think about how badly she wants to model ( and probably how badly her mother wants her to model) and how badly she wants to spent the last few years of her youth being normal.
While I shouldn't be surprised by the lack of adult interferance in her life, I am. If my famous friend (let's call her Jendall Kenner) came to me over and over and said, “I'm tired of being followed around all the time by paparazzi,” I'd tell her to maybe keep a lower profile. Perhaps stop doing things that get you attention, LIKE INTERVIEWS IN COSMOPOLITAN. Truth be told, she's not that interesting. She's just another pretty teenage girl who's good at using Instagram filters. I can promise her that if she stopped pursuing modeling and stopped sharing intimate details about her life, people would stop caring. Maybe even as soon as yesterday.
