Kate Winslet Wants Only One Thing for Her 40th Birthday and It’s Really Cute and Weird
Kate Winslet is turning 40 next week, on October 5th and she told E! News that she's excited to celebrate. “I'm going to look amazing and I'm going to celebrate in style,” she said while promoting her new movie, Steve Jobs.
The interviewer then asked what she wants for her birthday and she quipped: “I'd quite like a pressure cooker. I want to start making bone broths!” Um, what? LOL
Her co-star Michael Fassbender asked, “What does that entail?”
Kate replied: “Taking a whole bunch of bones and putting them in a pressure cooker with lots of chopped up leeks and onions and celery and all that good stuff and you make this amazing restorative bone broth. You boil it up for like 12 hours and it cures you of all ailments.”
Michael was clearly intrigued. “Amazing,” he said. “I love this. I will get you the pressure cooker if you will cook me one of those bone broths.”
She asked if this was interesting to be discussing in an interview, and the answer is: of course. Kate's accent is amazing, so I could listen to her talk about bone broth all damn day and not get bored. She could talk about taking the trash out and I'd be mesmerized. She's so cute that it made me forget how gross the entire thing really sounds (is bone broth really a thing? I definitely won't be adding that to my non-existent Pinterest cooking board anytime soon). Sorry Kate! But I do hope that your birthday is fabulous and that you get the pressure cooker of your dreams with a big red bow on top.
