Kate Winslet’s steamy scenes with Liam Hemsworth in their new film The Dressmaker will make her the envy of many people. One of those people? Kate’s 15-year-old daughter Mia who happens to be as taken with the Hunger Games actor as the rest of us.

Kate shares with BBC’s The One Show, “When I told my daughter that I was shooting the [sex] scene that day she spluttered. I took it to be jealousy.” Join the club, Mia.

In The Dressmaker, set in 1950s Australia, Kate plays, you guessed it, a dressmaker who returns home to enact revenge and face all those she left behind. Along the way, she begins a romance with Liam’s rugged farmer character.

Kate happens to be 15 years older than Liam, a fact her daughter was quick to remind her she shared with This Morning.”It’s rather alarming that [Mia] is actually closer in age to Liam than I am. She only pointed that out to me the other day, and I was like, ‘Oh shhh!'”

Not that Kate didn’t appreciate the beauty that is a Hemsworth brother pointing out that “Liam is a lovely, lovely guy, much is made of how he looks and he’s physically extremely beautiful but he’s a fabulous chap and was really up for mucking in with the rest of us.”

When it came to the scenes that required Liam to go sans shirt (i.e. the best ones), Kate admits that while he was ever the professional she “couldn’t stop giggling.”

Don’t worry Kate, the Hemsworths have a way of turning us all into fangirling messes.
