Kanye West Says Kim Kardashian Is ‘Our Modern Day Everything,’ So That’s Specific

In the ongoing feud between people who approve of Kim Kardashian's naked photos and people who don't (Seriously, why did this just become a thing now?), her husband Kanye West is obviously on Team Kim. He made that clear earlier this week when he reposted one of Kim's naked photos on Twitter and wrote “muse.” Then last night he continued the Kim love by making quite a bold statement about her influence in contemporary society.

Remember when Kim came out with a book of selfies, and the publisher's description called her “the modern-day personification of Marilyn Monroe”? Well, Kanye decided to take that a step further and declare her the “modern day everything.” Yes, that's right. Everything.

I'm gonna need Kanye to be more specific here. First of all, how can she be the modern day everything when some things are already modern? Can she be the modern day iPhone? No, she can't, because there already is a modern day iPhone, and it's called an iPhone.

Similarly, some modern day things are already claimed. For example, the modern day Friends was already Happy Endings until they had to go and cancel it. And wouldn't Kanye claim he's the modern day version of every iconic musician ever? Or is he giving that title to Kim because he's such a good husband?

But also, there are some things from the past that Kim probably wouldn't want to be the modern day version of. The modern day Hitler? (JK we all know who that is.) The modern day Black Death? The modern day asbestos? I mean, some people who don't like Keeping Up With the Kardashians might make those comparisons, but I doubt Kim would be very flattered by them.

A more accurate phrase for Kanye to have used would have been “our modern day something.” Because she certainly is that.
