Nothing makes me think positively about celebrities I’m typically not very fond of quite like Lip Sync Battle. (Well, unless the celebrity is Justin Bieber, in which case it just makes me dislike him even more.) Last night Kaley Cuoco performed, and I managed to forget all about her fakelationship with Superman. Well, almost. It was in the back of my mind, but mostly I was just thinking, “OMG SHE’S DOING BRITNEY YAAASSSS!” Because yes, Kaley performed a Britney Spears song, namely “I’m a Slave 4 U.” And she really gave it her all.

Kaley was up against Josh Gad. As you may have predicted, Josh emerged victorious, thanks to a wild performance of “I Touch Myself” that featured him making out with Kaley’s Big Bang Theory co-star Johnny Galecki while they were both dressed as Donald Trump. It was quite the sight, and you can see it in the video below. But just because Josh had the more outlandish performance doesn’t mean Kaley’s wasn’t good. She pulled out all the stops, donning Britney’s iconic 2001 VMAs look (watch the original here and bask in its millennial brilliance) and mimicking her signature dance moves. And really, when you’ve got those abs, channeling Britney is practically mandatory.

I spent the first part of the performance wondering if Kaley would go all out and dance with a python. I mean, imitating that performance and not balancing a snake on your shoulders would be really disappointing. So imagine my joy when Kaley knelt down to greet her scaly friend. Props to you, Kaley Cuoco. And thanks again for that Friends reunion photo from the other day. Even if you and your cast mates crashed it. I won’t hold it against you. (Ayyy another Britney reference!)
