Justin Timberlake And His Stadium Of Fans Sang To A Little Boy With Autism, Warm Hearts Everywhere
Justin Timberlake must have gotten word that it really melts people's hearts when they watch a video of a celebrity singing to a very young and very excited fan. Either that, or singing “Happy Birthday” to 8-year-old Julian at his recent concert in California was done out of the awesomeness of his heart. In which case, that's even more “OMG, awww”-worthy.
Apparently, his mother was worried that, due to her son's autism, his excited singing and screaming would be bothersome to nearby audience members. But, actually, they all just banded together to get Justin's attention for Julian. And, fair warning, the video that came of it is going to warm a heart or two. So, don't continue if that's not what you're in the market for. I'm talking gooey, melty heart bits that slip between your fingers and nothing less.
Jealousy that I've never been serenaded by JT on any of my birthdays or otherwise aside, this is incredibly sweet. Like, I thought that I was a strong person, but the second that Julian started shouting, “This is my present,” I was done for. And it sounds like his adorable reaction got to the other fans at the concert, as well. His mom wrote of the experience:
“Last night the world saw Julian, and for the first time, I think Julian saw himself in the world. It took us over an hour just to get outside the arena whilst Julian was high-fiving and fist-bumping everyone that stopped him. Thank you for showing me I was wrong about what the world would do when they saw my son. Thank you for seeing him and not just his disability.”
Don't look at me; I'm melting over here and it's not cute.
