In Incredibly Disheartening News, Bieber Allegedly Started Drinking After Being Released From Jail

Justin Bieber Drinking After Arrest January 23 2014

Despite the fact that Patti Mallette's spent hours on the phone with Heaven's HR department, Justin Bieber does not seem to be getting any better. In fact, based on everything that's happened in the last 24 hours, he appears to be in even worse shape than we originally thought. And that's a strong statement since our original thoughts included him drinking sizzurp and blowing 75K at a strip club.

While you'd think that getting arrested for a DUI in the middle of the night would've sobered him up a bit, the fact that he allegedly got photographed near alcohol just a few hours after his court appearance proves that it did not. Sure it doesn't mean he was drinking, but c'mon — he just posted bail for a DUI. There's no reason for him to even be in the vicinity of alcohol. Then again, we should've seen this coming after he confused his mugshot with a cover shoot. After years of being allowed to do whatever he wants by his mother and by his management team, it's not at all surprising that he doesn't take authority seriously. Like his good friend Chris Brown, I'm sure he's convinced that he'll be able to finagle his way out of this way — in the same way he thinks he's going to finagle his way out of felony egging charges.

And the sad truth is that his legal team probably will be able to get him off — or get the charges reduced to something that's meaningless and has no real impact on Justin. But as we've seen time and time again with these kids, letting them off the hook for minor offenses only ends up causing major problems down the road. Look no further than Lindsay Lohan for proof of that. Sure she's better(ish) now and sure she's sorta working again, but thanks to people who cared more about her money than her health, she got sucked into a downward spiral at the peak of her career. While she'll work here and there for the rest of her life, it's incredibly unlikely that she'll ever get back to where was she in her Mean Girls and Freaky Friday heyday.

So it's honestly in Justin Bieber's best interests that he get help now. Whether that help come in the form of court mandated rehab or jail time doesn't really matter. But it's time that he learn that there are consequences for his actions. And that an adult won't always be there to pull him out of trouble. Especially when the source of that trouble seems to be coming from within.
