Justin Bieber Racks Up Another Reason to Say ‘Sorry’ As He Cancels All His Tour Meet-and-Greets

Well, last night turned out to be a particularly disappointing one in the land of the Beliebers. All Justin Bieber fans who were getting excited to meet him at one of his Purpose tour meet-and-greets (part of VIP packages that run up to $2000) just found out those meetings will be missing one crucial element- a picture of you and Justin. In a lengthy //Instagram post, Justin announced he will be canceling all his upcoming meet-and-greets because of the emotional toll they are taking on him.

Here is his full post on the matter:

Love u guys.. I'm going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.. Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I'm supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen

Justin's emotional well-being may not be the only factor as the company who handles the meet-and-greets, Bkstg, said the meet-and-greets were canceled after “a security incident that caused our team to meet and re-think how meet and greets were handled.” TMZ reported a fan who was on Justin security team's “watch list” got within 10 feet of him and caused some alarm.

Those who purchased the VIP Package can get refunds, but only if they refund their ticket to the show also. Big spenders who still want whatever Justin Beiber-adjacent experience they can get will be given the alternative of a VIP hangout. There they can take pictures and videos of Justin but the organizers “cannot guarantee photos with Justin.” So the situation isn't ideal, but I imagine that pictures of Justin will get just as many likes on //Instagram and that's what really matters at the end of the day.
