Jimmy Fallon And Paul Rudd Having A Lip Sync Battle Is Just As Magical As It Sounds, And Then Some

Paul Rudd Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show lip sync battle 2014

God bless Jimmy Fallon and his lip sync battles. He somehow always manages to do them with celebrities I'm a little bit (or a lot) in love with, and it only makes me love them more. For instance, he battled John Krasinski and brought back my Jim Halpert love, and he gave Joseph Gordon-Levitt the opportunity to lip sync Nicki Minaj and out-cute even himself. Last night he premiered the first lip sync battle of The Tonight Show with special guest Paul Rudd. If you think that sounds amazing, you'd be correct. It was all that and a bag of chips. And also a bag of pretzels and trail mix. That's right, I said trail mix. This is serious.

Paul starts off the competition with Tina Turner's “You Better Be Good To Me.” It. Is. Spectacular. He knows exactly when to come in with a hand gesture, and as Jimmy points out he has the talkier parts down pat. Plus he gets a 10/10 from me on attitude alone. Then Jimmy comes in and does his best “Jukebox Hero” by Foreigner. It's great and energetic and uplifting, but we see Jimmy Fallon be great every night. We're here for Paul Rudd. And boy does he knock it out of the park with his rendition of Queen's “Don't Stop Me Now.”

You'll obviously want to watch it for yourself, but I'll set the scene for you. First off, he forgoes the microphone, which is a clear sign that he's throwing down. Then there are rapid camera switches that background Jimmy really gets a kick out of, and then he does a few elaborate dance moves. Let me tell you something, his hips don't lie. They don't even fib. In short, you'll want to keep this video open on your computer all day. You know, for emergencies.
