Jennifer Garner’s Kids See Ben Affleck So Rarely That She Has To Sew His Face On Their Pajamas

Jennifer Garner discussing Ben Affleck and Draft Day on GMA April 2014You know that thing where you see your dad so infrequently that your mom has to sew his face on your pajamas and record his voice into your stuffed animals so you don't forget what he looks like? Oh and your parents are both incredibly famous A-List Hollywood actors, in case that eliminates anyone.

No? It hasn't happened to you? Well then I guess your dad is Ben Affleck and your mom isn't Jennifer Garner, because Ben is apparently so much that that's become the normal situation in their house. And this isn't some dirt that's being dished by a ‘source close to the couple' or whatever. This is coming straight from Jennifer herself, in an interview on Good Morning America. A viewer sent in a question asking about how the family copes with intensive shooting schedules that require long absences, either for Ben or for Jen. Here's her response:

“You can't go for too long without being together as a unit. Face time is a must time for us. I make pajamas for the kids with Ben's face on it that they sleep in. I put his voice in things…like there's a teddy bear you can get where you can put the voice in the paw.”

Ah yes, and I can't wait to hear all the similar things he does for you when you're out of town working! No? Nothing? Crickets?

Just more indications that this marriage isn't going super well. Jen was so smiley while talking about her upcoming film Draft Day and working with Kevin Costner, but just look at the way that her face changes and kind of sinks as soon as she starts talking about Ben. Without her even saying anything, it makes me feel like there's a lot more happening behind the scenes than we really realize. Jennifer says herself that face time is the most important thing, but then she immediately follows it up with the fact that her kids don't really get any.

If Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel are really seeing him so little that they need to see his face on their clothes and get his voice out of a bear, then what is really holding this marriage together for Jennifer? I highly doubt anyone's sneaking into her room and embroidering his signature onto her pillows.
