January Jones Wins The Prize For Most Unappealing Energy Fix

January Jones, like many actresses in their 30s, has a tip for staying young and energized. To keep her energy level up Miss Jones has been downing her own placenta.

Using the products of delivery isn't unheard from serious talk of “placenta facials” to sitcom jokes about umbilical cord key-chains. But actually eating the placenta seems like a whole new level of shudder inducing uses. January wants us all to know no matter what our gut reaction is, placenta eating is completely normal and natural saying, “Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins. It's something I was very hesitant about, but we're only the only mammals who don't ingest out own placentas.”

Placenta as vitamins seems like a whole new kind of untapped sitcom humor that can replace the overdone man accidentally drinks breast milk left in the fridge. Imagine some guy thinking he's downing some vitamin C when really he's taking in tiny bits of placenta! Hilarious!

Still feeling she needed to drive the normalcy home January added, “It's not witch-crafty or anything,” which is strange, because I wasn't thinking witch-craft before but now I'm wondering if “placenta vitamins” might be code for “the spell they use in Hocus Pocus to suck the youth out of children.” Maybe that's what her Mad Men son was warning his replacement about.
