What happens when a teenager in a 32-year-old body gets a knock on the door and discovers he has a daughter? Kristoffer Polaha stars as Baze (short for Nate 'Baze' Bazil), the leather jacket-wearing, YouTube-watching biological father to 15-year-old Lux in the new show Life Unexpected. We chatted with Kristoffer to find out if he's anything like his frat boyish character on the show. Read on to get the deets!

What do you love about your character, Baze?
He's 32 years old and he has zero responsibilities. He has two roommates and their days basically consist of getting pizza and playing video games. Then one day this girl knocks on Baze's door and he finds that it's his daughter. And what's cool about Baze is that in that moment he decides to take responsibility for her instead of running away again. He kind of mans up and it's the first time that he's ever had to in his life.
