Total Badass Helen Mirren Wants To Be In A Fast Furious Movie Helen Mirren dont call me maam gif

Helen Mirren is the biggest badass in Hollywood, and there’s no point in arguing with me about that because it’s a cold hard fact. Her badassness stems from the fact that she looks and speaks like a proper English lady and is a celebrated actress of stage and screen, yet she twerks, has a tattoo, and has dyed her hair pink. Oh, and she’s also totally game for starring in a Fast & Furious movie. In fact, she’s not just game; she actually really wants to be cast in one. I never thought I’d be asking for an eighth movie in this franchise, but if Helen Mirren’s involved, count me in.

Helen recently talked to Yahoo! Movies about her fast and furious desires:

“My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie. I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving — I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I’ll be in Fast and Furious 8. I have to say Vin Diesel is brilliant. I love Vin Diesel. He’s a great guy, smart — I love him. It’s partly because of him I’d like to be in one, but also the driving. I’d also love to do another Red-type movie, because those are such fun to do.”

Please excuse me while I YAAAAAASSS. I can honestly say I have never seen a single movie in the Fast & Furious franchise, and the “driving fast cars and blowing stuff up” genre is typically one of my least favorites. But the idea of Helen Mirren being the one driving the cars and blowing the stuff up — and doing her own driving at that — is giving me a severe case of the grabby hands.

And those were some really nice compliments to Vin Diesel in there too. I might be having the tiniest bit of difficulty believing the “smart” part thanks to a little comment about Furious 7 winning the Oscar, but hey, maybe the joke’s on us. Maybe Helen knows the real Vin. Either way, I want Helen Mirren driving a fast car and I want it now.
