Even Though Halloween’s Over, You’re Gonna Want To See Harry Styles Dressed As Miley Cyrus

Harry Styles as Miley Cyrus Halloween 2013

Yes, I know Halloween was four days ago. I know that even post-Halloween weekend has come and gone. You've eaten all your candy and liked all your friends' costume pictures on Facebook and wondered aloud and in your own head why Santa Claus is already taking gift requests at the mall. You've retired your pumpkin-flavored snacks and are starting to crave mint. You've even looked at all the celebrity Halloween costumes worth looking at, or so you think. I know all of this, but I still want you to look at this photo of Harry Styles dressed as Miley Cyrus for Halloween.

Harry's friend and One Direction hairstylist Lou Teasdale shared the pic on her Instagram. They were apparently attending a Halloween party in Japan. Harry even went so far as to cover his nipples in black tape, which I'm unfortunately now associating more with Nicki Minaj than Miley. As we've said before, dressing as Miley Cyrus is pretty much as cliche as you could go this Halloween, but there are of course some exceptions. For instance, Paris Hilton had such an authentic-looking costume early enough in the Halloween season that I'm willing to give her a pass. Hugh Hefner's wife Crystal Harris? Not so much. I'm giving Harry a pass too, and I'm not gonna lie, it's mostly because he tied his hair up in those two little buns, which you can just barely make out in the photo. That's commitment.

The outfit is made even more interesting when you remember that Harry was in the audience of the VMAs during twerkgate 2013. Look at that poker face down there in that GIF. It's just like the face he made when Taylor Swift maybe called him out for being trouble in her acceptance speech. I was thinking of going as Harry's poker face for Halloween, but I finally decided against it when I couldn't get the gum-chewing right.

What do I think of Harry's outfit? To borrow a statement from Harry himself, I think it was pretty vanilla. In fact, I'd definitely look at it with my grandma. No question.
