Haiti Benefits With Patti Smith, Swell Season, Cold War Kids And Many More

City Winery, Brooklyn Bowl, and The Bell House are holding benefit concerts for disaster relief in Haiti. Here is the information:

  • At The Bell House on January 27 at 6 pm: 100% of the proceeds will be split between Save The Children and Partners In Health. Appearing: Jimmy Fallon, New York State Senator Diane Savino, Cold War Kids, Ted Leo, The Wrens, Sondre Lerche, Todd Barry, Pat Kiernan of NY1, Eugene Mirman, AC Newman of The New Pornographers with Rhett Miller of Old 97s and Nicole Atkins as The Seekers, Here We Go Magic, The Wahoo Skiffle Crazies (have no idea who this is…maybe some special guest?). “All performers will be playing abbreviated and stripped down sets.” Tickets are $50.
  • At Brooklyn Bowl on January 20 at 9:30 pm: Robert Randolph & the Family Band plus special guests. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE RED CROSS HAITI FUND & YELE HAITI. Tickets are $25.
  • City Winery has four benefit shows:
    • January 20: Patti Smith, The Swell Season, John Wesley Harding, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Yo La Tengo, Young People’s Choir of New York City, Joshua Bell and a Surprise Guest all confirmed. (MORE ARTISTS TO BE CONFIRMED IN NEXT 48 HRS) Tickets are $75.
    • January 21: Lewis Black, Vernon Reid & Corey Glover of Living Colour, Rich Pagano & The Sugarcane Cups, Marshall Crenshaw, David Johansen. (MORE ARTISTS TO BE CONFIRMED IN NEXT 48 HRS) Tickets are $50.
    • January 24: Rosanne Cash, Brian Stoke Mitchell. (MORE ARTISTS TO BE CONFIRMED IN NEXT 48 HRS) Tickets are $50.
    • January 25: Amber Rubarth, Ian Axel, Vienna Teng, Wes Hutchinson, Ari Hest, Will Knox, Joey Ryan, Rosi Golan, Nate Campany, Martin Rivas, Dov Rosenblatt, Alex Berger, Greg Holden and the Haiti Benefit House BandKevin Rice, Chris Kuffner, Adam Christgau, Tony Maceli, Melissa Tong, Ward Williams, Marika Hughes.
