Bet Your Bottom Dollar That Grown Up Little Orphan Annie Will Make You Laugh Out Loud

Grown up Annie Seth Meyers April 2014

Just go ahead and admit it. You've spent your entire life wondering whatever became of Little Orphan Annie after she was adopted by Daddy Warbucks. You've stayed up nights tossing and turning, asking if she ever got her hair relaxed or if the sun continued coming out for all her tomorrows. Lucky for you, Seth Meyers helped answer that question this week on Late Night by introducing us to “Grown Up Annie.” And as usually happens when we meet famous children all grown up, they're not so innocent anymore.

But they are absolutely HILARIOUS, so it's all good. In this case adult Annie is played by Late Night writer and extremely funny person Michelle Wolf, wild red hair and tiny dress included. I don't think she ever went up a size since her early days, if we're being honest. Grown up Annie is a little bit (okay, a lot) promiscuous. She's just your typical shallow, out-of-control heiress. I know the Annie remake is already filmed and everything, but is it too late to update it to tell this story?

Trust me when I say you want to watch this. If you're missing Seth Meyers' adorable conversations with the kooky characters at the Weekend Update desk, this video will satisfy your craving. Not only is the whole thing ridiculous in the best possible way and engineered to hit you right in your nostalgia (am I the only one who refused to stop singing the Annie soundtrack when I was 8?), but it's peppered with Seth Meyers giggles. And science says that Seth Meyers giggles are the healthiest way to start your day. After all, you're never fully dressed without a smile. If Late Night could make this a recurring segment, that'd be swell.
