This ‘How Frozen Should’ve Ended’ Video Calls Out Elsa’s Parents For Being The Worst

Frozen Elsa strut

Well guys, I'm embarrassed to say that it's been weeks since I last wrote about Frozen. After making a solemn vow to you all to never let it go, I've gone and let it go. Truth be told, I don't even know the last time I listened to the soundtrack. Trust me, I know this makes me a monster. I'm not proud of this, it just kinda happened. One day I was listening to the soundtrack every day and then one day I was back to top 40. (And yes, Top 40 is a euphemism for playing One Direction's “Story of My Life” on repeat.) With all that said, I'm excited to announce that my Frozen neglect ends right here and right now.

The fine folks over at How It Should Have Ended reworked Frozen in a way that doesn't have you questioning the way Elsa's parents treated her magic powers. Yeah, remember that part of the movie? The part where they magic-power-shamed her into wearing gloves all the time, lest people find out she's different. And by different, I mean full of MAGIC! That would be like your parents discovering you're a brilliant genius and forcing you to act stupid all the time so you won't intimidate your dum-dum sister.

So yeah, in this version her parents make a decision that doesn't require their daughter to become an antisocial hermit. I won't spoil it for you, but I will say that it ends with Hugh Jackman belting out “Let it Go.”

Enjoy. Oh and rest assured that I'll do my best to get back to referencing Frozen every single day. At least until 2015 or so.
