Get Excited, ‘Cause Demi Lovato Will Be Back For X Factor Season Three
As a newly-minted Demi Lovato fan (I mean have you heard her new song ‘Heart Attack'? I'm obsessed), I couldn't be happier about the news that she will definitely be returning as a judge and mentor for the third season of X Factor. No matter that I've never actually watched her on the show, I just feel like a party to her success from now on out since I've been playing her song on repeat. I think I'm entitled to that, don't you? In a statement released today, Demi says:
“I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor. Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better.”
This makes Demi officially the first of the show's hosts? judges? whatever to announce her return, even though auditions are already underway. We know that Britney Spears and L.A. Reid definitely aren't coming back — they want to focus on their weaves and greater city limits, respectively — but there's no word yet on whether co-hosts Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian found anything better to do. I'm hoping not, so that we can get a repeat performance of Khloe's nipples on the show. That was a really great day for internet traffic, for which all of us bloggers will be eternally grateful. One person who's definitely still involved in the project is Simon Cowell, who has the following teasing comment to make about Demi returning:
“I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying – I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back even during her world tour!”
You watch it with the casual ribbing of my girl Demi, Cowell, or I'll come after you with ever barbed comment I've got! Your nipples aren't exactly absent from the blogosphere, either.
