Take One Guess As To Why Demi Lovato And Miley Cyrus Aren’t Friends Anymore

Demi Lovato Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana Movie PremiereIn case you've been wondering about the state of Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus' longtime friendship, just know that it's donezo. It's weird to find that out because it's one of those celebrity friendships that you don't think about until it breaks up and then you're like, “Wha, who, why?! When did this happen? Where are my pants?” The last thing is usually unrelated, but is still a good question to ask yourself, in the event that your pants go missing. They're always in the last place you left them, just like Demi and Miley's friendship, which I guess you left in the garbage.

Unless your name is Faith and you're calling in to the Boston radio show, The TJ Show, then you probably haven't been thinking too hard about whether or not these two have stayed friends. If you're like me, you sort of just assumed that their beautiful Disney union continued on just like it does in those Send It On commercials of days past. But if you're like Faith, you've been picking up what they've been putting down and you want to know what the deal is with that friendship. And to that question, Demi's response is:

“Um…yeaaah. That, umm. We’re, we’re like, we’re acquaintances.”

Whoa whoa whoa, everyone knows that “acquaintance” preceded by “yeahhh, um”  is in the top 5 worst things that you can say about your former #BFFEAEAE. But wait, there's more! Although Demi “wishes her all the best,” she realizes that it's because they're completely different people now.

“Yeah, it’s life, and people change, and, you know, I don’t have anything in common with her anymore.”

Yikes! It's sad, but it's most probably true. DJ TJ (he wins the Name Game, by the way) summed up why this split is most likely for the best, with the following:

“When you start changing your ways and if certain people are still into partying it doesn't pay to hang out with them any more. You're gonna go right back into that zone again.”

Demi, who is still on the line, doesn't dispute this. And by “that zone,” it's pretty clear that he means the alarming path that Demi was on for a long time and that we're afraid Miley, herself, could be inching toward these days. Not to villify the girl or anything. It'd just be like if I were allergic to potatoes, but continued to eat french fries every day, until one day I just stopped (after the french fries' best friend made fun of me on Twitter). You'd understand if I decided to switch to green bean fries moving forward, right? I think the same logic applies here.
