I Love Me Some Demi Lovato But Her Heart Attack Video Is Really Disappointing Demi Lovato Heart Attack music video screen shot April 2013 jpgListen, guys, the title pretty much says it all: I love me some Demi Lovato, but the video for her song ‘Heart Attack’ is a pretty major disappointment. It was released last night, April 9th, and I’m confident enough in myself to admit that I had that date on my calendar for a little bit. After all, I haven’t exactly made it a secret that I’m obsessed with the song itself. There was a while at work when I would put it on loop and listen to it nonstop. I became really popular with my coworkers, let me tell you.

But now that it’s here, this video just doesn’t live up to the hype, even the hype that I personally gave it in my own mind. For one thing, it doesn’t even seem properly synced up, which I kind of thought was one of the most important things about a music video. But maybe that’s just me. It also only has like three sets, and they’re all Demi singing straight to the camera. Booo! Throw me some plot or something! Some interaction with someone who isn’t the camera. Preferably a human being. I like this weird swimming in mercury thing, but I still don’t get why your hands were black. And if you’re really gonna do the ink / paint thing, get into it! After the first thirty or so seconds, nothing really changed, and I found myself getting bored.

I feel like when you have a song as good as ‘Heart Attack’, the video for it should improve the experience of listening to it. Like Beyonce‘s music, for instance. ‘Single Ladies’ is an awesome song, but it’s made immeasurably better when you watch the video at the same time. I don’t mean to be a Demi-downer, but I feel like my girl can do better.
