Dakota Fanning Hates The Entire Idea Of Dating, Also Having Fun

dakota fanning work outWow Dakota Fanning! Looks like you totally missed the entire point of growing up in the spotlight from a very young age. I know you're trying to be normal, but try a little less hard please. As an 18-year-old movie star you're not only supposed to be having fun, but you're also supposed to be defining it. I don't know how else you plan to go from respectable actress to aging trainwreck by the time you're 25-years-old if you don't start acting more unstable.

Going to college already did damage to this plan, so I'm not really sure why you continue to sabotage your reputation even further by giving statements like this to Glamour magazine:

“I don't really date. I have a weird vision of relationships because my parents have known each other since second grade, and they got married right out of college. I've always thought that's what it's supposed to be like, and if it's not, then I don't want to waste my time on it. Even when I was 14, I was like, ‘I'm not gonna marry this person. What's the point of doing it?'

Like, okay Dakota. You're so mature. You're so beyond doing Halloween walk of shames and one night stands with guys who lie to you about going to your college (and then confess in the morning they're just visiting a friend….who also doesn't go to your school…and they're 36…and married).

But tell you what Dakota Fanning. Just because you're saving yourself the heartache of breaking up with a guy who's not the one doesn't mean you're doing yourself any favors. Half the fun of dating is trying to one up your friends when you're playing a drunken round of “who's had the worst date ever?” And you can't win, if you don't play. So give yourself some time off from being the most mature child actress who ever lived and have some fun.

You only get to be young and reckless once. Unless you're Demi Moore. Then you get to do it twice. But that's besides the fact. Date a little Dakota! I promise you there will always be another emerging starlet who's doing more damage in the media than that.
