Ugly Behavior

Did you catch Lindsay Lohan's appearance on Ugly Betty last night? Hilarious! Definitely reminded us of her Mean Girls days. Sadly though, her stint on the show will be shorter than anticipated. Yesterday, reports surfaced that Lindsay's original six-eppie arc as Kimmie, Betty's arch nemesis from high school, was cut to just four. Why? It seems like there was some mean girl action going on between America and Lindsay off camera as well -- but who's to blame has yet to be determined.

According to some sources, it was Lindsay's divalicious 'tude that got her booted. "It was a mess. Lindsay would show up every day with an entourage of people. She smoked 24/7, and after she left, they had to repaint her dressing room it was such a mess," a source tells the New York Post. "[She] would obsessively cut pictures of herself out of the tabloids like she was creating some sort of scrapbook and refused to go on set until America was there -- it was a power play."

But others say it was America who was the real-life bully. "America was mean to Lindsay. Producers give her too much power," one snitch says. "Lindsay didn't do the last two episodes because America didn't like her and got her kicked off." According to insider, while filming last night's eppie, "Granny Pants," they were rehearsing the scene where Betty pantses Kimmie in the Mode cafeteria when America pulled a play right out of Regina George's playbook. "They were rehearsing the scene and America wasn't supposed to pull Lindsay's pants down -- but she did [and Lindsay was only wearing a thong]," the source says. "Lindsay was so embarrassed, she started crying." As for the other allegations, the source says the dressing room was shared by the cast of Fringe "so maybe they messed it up. And an entourage? Yeah, she had her sober companion with her, as well as her manager, assistant and [girlfriend] Samantha Ronson. Her publicist was there a couple of times. But so what?"

Obviously, Lindsay and America's reps are downplaying the sitch. "America is grateful to have had her on the show and thinks everyone should tune in to see how great the episodes are," says America's flack, while Lindsay's says her client "had a lovely time."
