Ironically, Connor Cruise Is DJing An LGBT Oscars Party
Celebrity offspring Connor Cruise got our attention last week when his ex-publicist made a joke about the Giants' Super Bowl win and Tom Cruise‘s son wrote, That was a gay ass [bleep]ing tweet. While it wasn't an explicit slur, it showed disrespect for the LGBT community, prompting an apology from Connor soon after:
“What I texted was unacceptable. It is not a reflection of who I am and what I feel, and it certainly won’t happen again.”
Part of the reason he may have been so eager to apologize, we've learned, is that Connor's booked to DJ an Oscars party on February 26. But not just any Oscars party—the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA)'s viewing party at The Abbey, known as “the best gay bar in the world.” So, Connor obviously had some damage control to do!
That's right, Connor was set to do this party before his little outburst last week. But it seems the APLA has forgiven him, since his involvement with the party hasn't changed as far as we can tell. However, there's something else bothering us—how is it that a 17-year-old can get in to a club in order to have a DJ job in the first place?
