Chris Pratt Visits A Children’s Hospital As His GOTG Character, Cannot Stop Being Wonderful

Chris Pratt children's hospital visit August 2014

If you don't have a crush on Chris Pratt yet, then you must have been avoiding pop culture completely for the past month or so. That's really the only explanation. But I'm happy to inform you that you're about the develop a crush on him in approximately one second. Because Chris recently surprised kids at a children's hospital by wearing his costume from Guardians of the Galaxy. How's that crush feeling? Comfortable?

Chris had said in a previous interview that he had kept his Star-Lord costume for just this purpose, and it looks like he really meant it. With the help of Marvel and Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Chris attended a screening of the movie at Children's Hospital Los Angeles yesterday. While patients, family and staff watched the movie, Chris sneaked away to change into his costume. He then spent three hours dressed as Star-Lord handing out toys related to the movie.

Chris also visited kids who were too sick to attend the screening, and he apparently spent ten minutes reciting lines from The Lego Movie with a patient. He also signed autographs, posed for photos, and let some of the kids try on his costume, as you can see in the photo above.

How's your heart holding up over there? Is it super warm and melty and three sizes bigger than it was before you started reading this post? Yeah, that sounds about right. It's the same thing that happened to me when he talked to those kids at that other charity screening he attended. Or when he shared that photo of the van he lived in in Hawaii. He just never fails to make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I just love that he's transforming into this big movie star while still seeming so grounded and gracious. I want to watch him become the next Harrison Ford, but I also hope he never loses this personality. Fingers crossed it doesn't end up going to his head.
