Let's play Two Truths and a Lie:

1. Steven Soderbergh and Channing Tatum are teaming up on a new movie.

2. It's called Magic Mike and is about the friendship between two male strippers.

3. I love mint chip ice cream.

The third one was the lie, and this news story makes my day. The Ocean's Thirteen director, far from retiring as had previously been reported, is helming a new movie inspired by Tatum's pre-Hollywood days as a stripper. Tatum plays Magic Mike, an exotic dancer who's been around the block and mentors an up-and-comer.

“When Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I'd ever heard for a movie,” Soderbergh said in a statement. “I said I wanted in immediately. It's sexy, funny and shocking. We're using Saturday Night Fever as our model, so hopefully we're on the right track.”

Tatum added, “This was a wild and pivotal time in my life and I couldn't be more thrilled to go down the rabbit hole with Steven.”

We imagine it'll go a little something like this
