Morning Tongue Twister: Crazy Christians Come Out Of Church To Curse Carrie Underwood

By  |

Remember earlier this week when we all stood and cheered for Carrie Underwood's wonderful statement on gay marriage. The Christian country singer not only came out for gay marriage, but based her support for it on her Christian values.

In case you didn't tattoo this statement onto your heart yet, she said, “Above all, God wanted us to love others. It’s not about setting rules, or [saying] ‘everyone has to be like me’. No. We’re all different. That’s what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It’s not up to me to judge anybody.”

While you blasted “Jesus Take the Wheel” all week in honor of her statement, 4600 real Christians spontaneously combusted into flames while they prayed for all gay people to spend eternity in hell. Outside of an LGBT-friendly abortion clinic in New York City. That doubles as a gay wedding chapel on the weekends. For interfaith couples who aren't the same race. And are vegans.

This isn't the rapture guys. This is what happens when a god-fearing Christian country singer publicly supports gay people. Shit goes cray when country singers go gay. That's a line straight out of the bible. I saw it on page 6. Or page 19. It's definitely in the first half of the bible.

The Christian Broadcasting Network brought on Pastor Scotty Smith from Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee to discuss this pressing matter. And he's not pleased with what Carrie said because, “it's a broken understanding of what the bible's actually saying.” The interview itself might get you heated, but it's worth watching to remind you why we should all be supporting Carrie Underwood right now. For every Pastor Scotty, there are at least 10,000 people with better values and better facial hair.
