Bran Stark Won’t Be On Game Of Thrones Season 5 Because He Ran Out Of Storyline

Isaac Hempstead-Wright as Bran Stark in Game Of Thrones GIFAlright, George R.R. Martin, enough is enough. You have to publish another book in the Game Of Thrones series, because the way you're dragging your feet may have just cost an actor his job.

Before, the only people who were directly affected by George's incredibly slow writing were people who read the books and were frustrated by the fact that he was taking longer and longer in between. Started out as two years between each of the first three novels, then got up to five, then six, and since it's only been three years since the most recent book was released in 2011, it seems like we have quite a wait ahead of us.

But that's not okay anymore! Because Isaac Hempstead-Wright‘s job is on the line! Isaac plays Bran Stark in the HBO series based on the books, and we've just been informed that he won't be in the show's fifth season because he's run out of storyline. The decision will also affect Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor and was the source for this bombshell:

“We have a season off and we have a year’s hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books. So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world.”

He's referring to his DJ career, which he'll get to pay attention to in his off-time, but what is Isaac supposed to do? All he's really doing is getting another year older, making it harder to integrate his character back into the series by the time George finally releases The Winds Of Winter in…what's likely to be 2018 at this point. GUH I CAN'T STAND IT LOOK WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO US GEORGE.
