Hey!

We're We Are The In Crowd from Poughkeepsie, NY. Our 5-piece band with dual male and female vocals met through mutual friends in January 2009. The band started up as a studio task but soon became a full band project when I met Jordan (vocals/guitar), Mike (bass), Rob (drums), and Cameron (guitar). Although that was only a little over a year ago, none of us are new to the music scene. We were all in bands before WATIC, but seemed to be seeking something new. We couldn't feel more lucky to have found each other!

We are currently recording our debut EP on Hopeless Records with producers Zack and Kenneth in Atlanta, GA. Zack and Kenneth worked with bands like Cartel, All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Jimmy Eat World and Every Avenue. So, immediately when we found out we were working with them we were stoked! We left for Vintage Song Studios Monday, February 15. Driving something like 16 hours from New York to Georgia and passing through two blizzards, we finally arrived at 5:00 a.m.! When we got to the studio, we found our room, called which bunks we each wanted to sleep in and passed out. The morning was a little rough because we only got 3 hours of sleep, but we were really excited to meet Zack and Kenneth. I feel like their first impressions of us were pretty funny.

We were literally rolling out of bed and I think some of the boys were still in their underwear. Haha. They have a great sense of humor, though, and that's one of the reasons we are stoked to be working with them on this EP. It's always nice to walk into a studio knowing that the people you are working with are as excited about something as you are and we feel like Zack and Kenneth are definitely on the same page as us and make us feel welcome.

Rob (drums) tracked 2 of 5 songs the first day, which was pretty surprising considering the exhaustion and pre-production we had to work out. It's our second day and things are sounding amazing. We're all so excited to have our debut EP finished. I can't wait until I can finally give fans a physical CD at shows!
