I just landed back in sunny Los Angeles via New York City. I had a lovely, fashion-packed trip in the Big Apple this past week and I want to share some of my favorite finds with you!
One of my favorite lingerie lines is based out of NY. My close friend, Claudia Ochoa, designs hand-made, French lace lingerie for a beautiful line called CLO. She fuses sexy and class together flawlessly! One of my favorite pieces of hers is a simple, tight, black lace tank top that I wear almost under everything. Isn't it cute?
While in the city, Soho to be exact, I visited my friend Tony from H&M. To my liking, I quickly noticed that animal print is very in! Leopard skirts, leopard tights, leopard dresses, leopard pants... I was in heaven. My favorite piece from the H&M collection was this fabulous leopard button-up dress. I pulled the outfit together with my Matt Bernson booties and a thin tan belt to give the dress some shape.
The store Scoop is also one of my faves. Last week, Matt Bernson and Scoop put together a great little event where I did an acoustic performance in their Soho store. I wore a gorgeous Phillip Lim dress with my tan Matt Bernson booties. I also ended up picking up a charcoal-colored cashmere scarf that day. I think it is a perfect, versatile piece for the fall and winter. And I am loving scarves right now!
French Connection is another store that I feel defines my laid-back but girly sense of fashion. Their clothes range from dressy to casual and they also have a really great selection of men's clothes! One of my favorite finds was this jean-dress that I wore all summer long. It was a great piece to wear on tour with a pair of high heels.
And, of course, I love Alloy's clothing too! They've got adorable dresses, jewelry, and booties that I'm in love with for fall!
Oh! And do you guys remember Christina Siriano from Project Runway? He's one of my favorite young designers -- he is not only talented but also so sweet. Christian dressed me for my CD listening party a few months back and also walked with me on the red carpet for the Sex and The City 2 premiere. In this photo, I am wearing one of his amazing pieces. Don't you just love that color? Fierce!
I will be back to NYC for fall Fashion Week in two weeks and I can't wait! But in the meantime, I'm getting so excited about my six-page fall fashion spread in Genlux magazine. It hits newsstands next week, so be sure to check it out!
What can I really say aside from: J'adore fashion! What are some of your favorite fashion finds? Let me know in the comments, and drop me a line on my Facebook and Twitter pages! I'd love to hear from you guys!
