We've been on the "Up In The Air" tour with Mike Posner for a week now and it has been like a traveling family party. Our schedule is jam-packed these days: We'll arrive in a city early morning, hit up 2 or 3 radio stations for interviews, head to the venue for a quick sound check, do a few phone interviews and grab a bite to eat, head back to the venue to perform, meet and greet at the merch booth right after our set, do more interviews with magazines or TV, then hit an after party to perform a few songs.
Anyway, we kicked off the tour in our hometown of LA at the House Of Blues Sunset -- it was insane and we were blessed to have all our family in our hometown come out. We started our set with "Girls On The Dance Floor" and brought the production crew, The Stereotypes, on stage, then during our performance of "Like a G6" Ben Baller (jeweler to Drake, Travie McCoy and The Game) came up bearing some gifts to the crowd. Then near the end of the set we rocked out to "Go Ape" and brought out Colette Carr and DJ Brass Monkey.
After the show, we hopped in our tour bus and headed up north to the bay for a show at the historic Fillmore. Fillmore was crazy and our after party performance at Infusion Lounge was chaos. San Francisco is Free Wired.
The next morning, we woke up and our bus was in front of the San Diego House Of Blues. We went inside to set up our stage and saw a basketball hoop on the dance floor! It was our first time ever seeing a hoop in a House Of Blues, so we couldn't pass up the chance to get a game of H-O-R-S-E in. Then we hit up an after party where Richard Vission (who has the song "I Like That") was spinning. Sunny San Diego is Free Wired.
Las Vegas was next, and Vegas is always nuts. Every time we're out there we don't sleep, which is a perfect reason to rock shades 24 hours a day. There's no time for sleep when you're living a dream! The head of Cherrytree Records flew out to chill with us backstage and gave us the crazy news that our single "Like A G6" hit #3 on iTunes. Craaaaaaazy.
Right after we hopped off stage, we got our laptops from our tour bus and streamed our radio show on Cherrytree radio called the Cherrybomb Party Mix, where DJ Virman and DJ Brass Monkey do a live mix while we host and chat live on Cherrytreerecords.com. It's an online party we throw every Saturday night from 9pm to 10pm PST. Afterwards, we hit up an after-party at The Bank in Bellagio where we performed. There were confetti and sparklers in the air with a packed house -- it was crazy. Then we stumbled out to our tour bus at 6:30am rocking the same tie and kicks as the night before. That's Vegas for you.
