Betty White Spoofed Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ Video, So You Can All Go Home Now

Betty White Wrecking Ball 2013

Everybody likes Betty White. It's just a rule. I might even be a law, but we never have to look into it because nobody ever breaks it. Or if they do break it, they don't let anyone know about it. She's humanity's shared grandma, and her face should be on money, because that's how much of a national treasure she is. She's 91 and still cracking jokes and playing pranks left and right. Even if you don't always LOLOLOLOL at her antics, you gotta admire her for doing her thang. (I apologize in advance for any emotional trauma I may have caused you by using the word “thang.”)

It's a mathematical rule that when the world's most beloved nonagenarian spoofs pop culture's most controversial figure, not only does the earth briefly stop spinning and have itself a chuckle, but anyone else who wants to spoof it should probably think twice. That's what happened when Betty White spoofed Miley Cyrus' “Wrecking Ball” video to promote her show Off Their Rockers, which is moving to Lifetime this Wednesday. You remember that video, right? It's the one where Miley is naked and rides a wrecking ball. It's also the one that's been spoofed by everyone from adorable animals to douchey frat boys to Hulk Hogan (shudder). But it hadn't been spoofed by Betty White. And let's face it, that's the spoof we were all waiting for.

Betty explains in the video that she wanted to reference something all the kids were talking about. I don't think any of us will argue with the reference she ultimately went with. You can watch the video below, but in case you're looking forward to seeing naked Betty White, I hate to disappoint you, but she's fully clothed. If it's any consolation, she gives a sledge hammer a sweet little kiss and also waves a foam finger.
