Ariana Grande Wants You To Know She’s Still Sorry About the Donuts
It seems like this week is all about young pop stars trying to recover their battered images, and naturally, Ariana Grande's appearance on Good Morning America is no exception.
Ariana was there to promote her new fragrance, Ari by Ariana Grande, and the first question she was asked, was, of course, about the donuts. Ariana was in full PR force, putting on her sweetest smile and breathy voice, when addressing the fact that she publicly declared we're all fat and lazy and love donuts too much.
“First of all, I mean, my behavior was very offensive, and I apologized. There's no excuse or there's nothing to justify it. But, I think that, as human beings we all say and do things that we don't mean at all sometimes, and we have to learn from it. We have to learn from our mistakes, and that's how we grow.”
Ariana insisted that she's learned from donutgate, and when asked how, she said:
“I think one of the biggest things I learned from that was what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you, and that's an excruciating feeling. You have to remember your words, your actions have ramifications, and you have to really think about what you're about to say and do, because it's important. It's important to so many people.”
She also went on to pimp her new perfume, which she describes as “sweet and yummy” (hmm… that's the same way most people would describe donuts. I see what you did there, Ariana.) She also has new music coming very soon.
This was Ariana's first TV appearance since the incident in July, and thankfully, Ariana's interview took place on her good side, so we can all sleep tonight, because Ariana is vewwy sowwy. Hopefully ABC's craft services team didn't leave out any donuts in her dressing room. Actually, hopefully they did. That would be hilarious.
