Anne Hathaway Targets MTV News in Firing Back at All the Catwoman Haters

By  |

This poor MTV News guy: When he asked if Anne Hathaway was at least happy that fans were picking apart her lackluster Catwoman costume, she called him out because another MTV News writer had described the costume as “meh.” (So did we.) The reporter had no choice but to smile and push through while Anne did her routine of overexaggerated eye rolling and lip pursing, like the issue was just so inconvenient.

“What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo — gonna start with the negative — you only see about a tenth of what that suit can do,” she said. “And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.”

I don't blame the reporter for folding; you have to build that sort of pandering in as a defense mechanism in case “the talent” gets uppity. It's just surprising that Anne got so butt-hurt about it. It's a comic book movie — of course the geeks will find something to be unhappy about. It shows they care, and anyway, they're still gonna see the movie.

The woman's starred in that awful Princess Diaries sequel and Valentine's Day — where does she get off getting annoyed at some bad press?
