Just Because Amanda Seyfried Wants To Have Sex With Channing Tatum Doesn’t Mean I Do Too

In a recent interview with InStyle Magazine, Amanda Seyfried called out Channing Tatum, her former costar from that masterpiece Dear John, as that guy that ‘everyone wants to have sex with'.

“Everybody wants to have sex with him. And the only person he wants to have sex with is his wife, Jenna. He's the most loyal husband.”

Um, excuse me. Amanda? I was not consulted for this unofficial poll. Nor was I consulted when he was named as People's Sexiest Man Alive. In fact, I have almost no desire to sleep with Channing Tatum. I actually have more of a desire to sleep with Amanda Seyfried than I do with Channing Tatum, and I don't even swing that way. But maybe Amanda's only drawn to him because of the marriage-y, stability thing, because she has this to say about her own life:

“The thing is, I can't date anybody without it being portrayed as a serious relationship in the tabloids. It sucks! Like Josh Hartnett and I were friends; we hung out, we dated. I don't actually have sex with every male I come into contact with.”

Wait what? Hollywood actresses don't throw themselves at every man they come across? This is completely new information for me. I thought that when you were beautiful and successful and rich, you had to lower your expectations and make compromises and just basically let any old guy poke you where the sun don't shine. No?

Regardless, I don't 100% understand her, or the universe's obsession with Channing. In my eyes, he's a decent actor with a great body and a kind of bland face, who got really lucky with movie choices this year. That's it. I love that he's happily married and committed, and I don't have any dangerous thoughts of you when my head hits the pillow. So speak for yourself, Seyfried. I'll take Ryan Gosling any day of the week. Literally any day. Call me.
