Adele Made a Terminally Ill Girl’s Dream Come True with Surprise Visit

Just one day after Adele was “maintaining her angel sent from heaven status”, as I put it, by helping a couple get engaged at her Belfast show, she's gone off and done another amazing thing. While in Belfast, Adele visited with a big fan of hers,12-year-old Rebecca Gibney who has “cerebral palsy and epilepsy and is blind” and has defied the odds by continuing to fight after being told last year by doctors she only had 6 months to live, the BBC reports. Rebecca's mom Tracy, who started a social media campaign hoping to reach Adele, says Rebecca “has been listening to Adele for years” and “will smile and try to sing along” to the songs.

Tracy first learned of Adele's visit from her manager only a few hours before the singer came to their home. She told the Belfast Telegraph, that “Adele played with [Rebecca's] hair, and held her hand and asked all about her Frozen. She was really lovely.” After her visit with Rebecca, Adele gave them tickets to see her show that night in Belfast.

With her daughter's wish fully realized Tracey said, “It's amazing. I'll never forget it. And I do know that when Rebecca passes away she did get her dream come true. It's made me feel like I'm the best mummy in the world which I never felt. Adele told me I was the best mummy in the world too.”

So there you go, Adele making dreams come true and fulfilling your daily “I'm not crying, you're crying” quota in one fell swoop.
