Adele Twerked for Fans at a Recent London Concert, We Don’t Deserve Her
It seems like every day there's a new reason to be jealous of everyone who has tickets to see a show on Adele's ongoing 25 tour. Between helping fans propose to each other to photobombing fans' selfies to just, well, being her talented and amazing self, there are so many things to look forward to. And during one of her recent concerts in London's O2 Arena, Adele added a new item to the list. That item was twerking. Seriously, what did we do right as a human race to deserve this woman? Because I can't think of it.
In the video from the concert, Adele takes a break to talk to the crowd, and somehow she ends up twerking without even intending to. “I think I just twerked!” she exclaims, and then she tries to recreate the move. It's an interesting sight considering she's wearing an elegant sparkly ballgown instead of something like a unicorn onesie or a leotard or whatever Miley used to wear to twerk it out. (Wow, remember those days? Good times, good times.) Adele claims she's not very good at it, because “my whole body has to move.”
Then she says, “My bum could break my back, it's so enormous.” I'm gonna need that to be a lyric on her next album. It could be the 21st century version of “Baby Got Back,” except it would somehow manage to make all of us cry and then win a boatload of Grammys. But seriously, there is nothing that brings me more joy than the juxtaposition of Adele's powerhouse talent and her goofy personality. Like, it's the sort of thing you can only dream of finding in an artist, and she has it. We are all so #blessed, I can hardly believe it.
