Adam Lambert To Front Queen?

By  |

After Adam Lambert stunned the “American Idol” crowd by singing “We Are The Champions” along with Kris Allen and the remaining members of Queen, we're left with the thought that Lambert may be joining the band.

Is Adam Lambert the next Freddie Mercury?

That question has a lot of people buzzing, so I'm going to answer it for you. No, he's not the second coming of Freddie, no one could replace the former Queen frontman.

Queen guitarist Brian May says that he does want to talk to Lambert, however.

“Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk. But Roger Taylor and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with (Lambert) at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”

If Brian May says it's so, then it must be true. Think they'd be selling themselves short with Lambert or is it the best move for the band as a whole? What do you think?

While you're pondering that, check out Adam fronting Queen with Kris, singing “We Are The Champions”:
