Howdy!
In the last week, Cobra Starship has had the honor of visiting places we never thought we would go to in a million years. One of them being the lovely state of Montana. I know that sounds crazy, I had complete opposite thoughts of what to expect when we got there and I must say, I was VERY impressed.
After three days in Canada, Warped Tour took a day off but we played another one of those "Decay Dance Records" showcases I have written about in the past. Welcome to Downtown Missoula, Montana. This town feels brand new, not realizing it was a college town until I saw a Pita Pit, I was excited to be in a real city, playing a club show again, and not in a parking lot for an amphitheater out in the middle of nowhere. I never thought I would be glad to find civilization in Montana, always assuming it was just open fields with sparse log cabins and the dream of disappearing from the world when I was younger to Montana to "get away from it all" when I thought my life was ending at 20.
We also had the pleasure of playing The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. Now, I thought the view in Montana was great, this was unreal. Aside from the view, I caught a nice pic of Gabe in his underwear getting a haircut from internet hottie and celeb Jeffree Starr.
We closed the show that night which made the day go mad slow, it was the latest anyone has played on warped tour, we went on at 9 pm. Very surprised at how many people stuck around all day considering the first band goes on at 11 am, we were extremely excited!
Today we are in Portland, or near it somewhere and about to have two days off! We are really in the last stretch of the tour now, five shows left until we leave for Australia.
Cheers!
