You know that tendency for people in Hollywood to decide that just because they can act, they can also sing? And maybe also become models, dancers, fashion designers and poetry book writers

Well, all you Hollywood overachievers, I’ve got a piece of advice for you: maybe you should stop. Just because you’re a great actor, that doesn’t mean you have a gifted singing voice, too. And that’s okay.  You’re not supposed to be good at everything. Nobody is.

Except for, you know, those extra-overachieving celebrities who are good at everything. Or, at least, they’re good at acting and singing. Some people just get all of the talent. And by “some people,” I mean these seven celebrities who have proven they have vocal chops by singing live and sounding awesome.

1. Kristen Bell

While we’ve all been busy obsessing about Let It Go, for months we’ve kind of forgotten that Adele Dazeem wasn’t the only singing princess in Frozen. But now we shall forget no more forever, because this performance of Do You Want To Build A Snowman by Kristen Bell is just the most adorable/entertaining/talented thing I’ve ever heard.

2. Anna Kendrick

Aside from being at the very top of our list of girl crushes here at Crushable, Anna Kendrick was also nominated for a Tony Award at the age of 12. So, uh, yeah. The girl can sing. Honestly, I didn’t even know what video to choose for Anna, but ultimately, I had to go with her performance of Cups on David Letterman where she had no preparation at all and still totally killed it.

3. Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy may not have quite the vocal talent as Anna or Kristen or some of the others on this list, but he’s definitely a great live performer. And on top of that, let’s look at his singing resume: he’s performed with Adele Dazeem Idina MenzelMiley Cyrus, and, of course, with his BFF Justin Timberlake. Pretty impressive resume if you ask me.

4. Kerry Washington

Maybe the reason we don’t all think of Kerry as a great singer is because she tries to hide it. For example, the beginning of this video when Jordin Sparks is all, “Come on, Kerry, sing karaoke with me,” but Kerry is all, “Who me? Oh, no, never. I can’t sing with you.” Except then she does. And it’s amazing. And just to add an extra layer of amazingness, she decides to sing a Disney song. In. Love.

5. Stephen Colbert

Fun fact about the funniest man alive, Stephen Colbert: he’s actually a pretty good singer. He’s even sung a few duets with Audra McDonald, aka the greatest voice ever to walk the planet. And you don’t just start singing with Audra unless you have some vocal chops. The pair sang Summertime from the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess back in 2012 (again, something you don’t do without vocal talent). Unfortunately, said video appears to have been removed from the face of the Internet, so I’ve had to settle for the singing something else (still good) instead.

6. Emmy Rossum

Unlike Kerry, Emmy did star in the film version of The Phantom of the Opera, so it’s not really any kind of secret to those who’ve been following her career that she can sing. In fact, she’s a trained opera singer, so she can really sing. Like in this clip where she randomly busts out an aria so Conan O’Brien will give her a hot dog.

7. The Harry Potter Cast

In all seriousness, Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, really can sing. He even starred on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying to prove it. But I much prefer when he sings Taylor Swift’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together along with the rest of the Harry Potter cast. Don’t you?
