This is the moment, you guys, so close your eyes and memorize this feeling: a real live human being has finally confirmed that actual casting is taking place for the movie version of 50 Shades Of Grey. Granted his name is Stephen Amell and I have never heard of him before this moment, but regardless. He apparently stars in the TV show Arrow, and he has the following brilliant insight regarding the upcoming movie and his potential casting as Christian Grey:

“I get questions about Christian Grey all the time. That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it. A long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close. I wouldn't call it long, but I wouldn't call it close.”

Oh gosh, what a relief. I was worried that this instant classic would be relegated to dusty bookshelves or forgotten on the subways…where every SINGLE woman between the ages of 18 and 35 had absolutely zero problem reading it right in front of me. Having read at least three sentences of said book myself, I can exclusively reveal that I don't care about this movie's casting. But if I did, my first choices would be Ian Somerhalder as Christian and Alexis Bledel as Anastasia Steele. Ian looks just mean enough to be into BDSM and just attractive enough that an intelligent, beautiful, successful college student wouldn't mind debasing herself for his benefit. And as far as Alexis, she is petite and brown-haired and not Emma Watson (she's too good for this project! stay away!) and already rocking the best name in show business, so let's get this girl some work, yeah? Those traveling pants aren't gonna fit forever.
