2014 Oscars poster Ellen DeGeneres

They're here! They're here! The Oscar nominations are here! The official 2014 Academy Award nominees were announced this morning by soon-to-be father of twins Chris Hemsworth and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. Since this year's Oscars theme is “movie heroes,” they explained that it made sense to have a superhero announce the nominees. It also made sense because even at 5:30 AM, Chris Hemsworth looked flawless.

Now that we know all the movies and people who could potentially take home one of those little gold men on Oscar night, it's time to play some catch up. I don't know about you, but I'm very stressed to see as many of these movies as possible before Oscar night so I can feel legitimately outraged or overjoyed when I hear who won. Luckily we have a month and a half to study up, since the show will be airing on March 2. And Ellen DeGeneres is hosting! Check out the nominees below (full list on the Oscars website), and remember to join us as we live-tweet and live-blog the festivities during the show.
