Beeyatch Alert!

Ashlee Simpson undoubtedly inherited Jessica Simpson's ditzy gene, but while Jess' cluelessness is pretty innocent, Ash is a bit more mean-spirited. "In an interview the other day, they asked me what I thought, 'You've had one too many Britney Spears' means," Ashlee said recently, OK! magazine reports. "I was like, 'What?'" When the reporter explained that it meant being a little too tipsy, Ashlee didn't skip a beat and responded, "I was like, 'Oh, you've had one too many trashy girls!'" Real nice. And while she claims that she felt bad after the slip, ("I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't believe I just said that!' It was really bad. I felt horrible," she says), why the heck would she repeat the slight? Not funny, and definitely not cool. Whatever happened to "everyone coming together instead of throwing judgment at one another [and] pointing fingers" and "you reap what you sow"? Good luck with that, Ash!

Gossip Girl-fight?

Some girls love Penn Badgley, some go gaga for Chace Crawford, but it seems like Chace's fans outweigh Penn's -- and it's causing issues for the cast. "Penn was supposed to be the show's break-out star and now it is obviously Chace, and Penn doesn't like it," an insider tells the New York Daily News.

Case in point: at last week's Met Costume Institute gala, Chace was swarmed by fans, invited to George Clooney's after-party, and approached by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who gushed to him about how much they love him and the show. Meanwhile, Penn was ignored like poor little J. "Penn didn't get any love," the insider says. Aww, is Penn turning into a real-life Lonely Boy?

Almost Newlyweds: Ashlee and Pete!

LOL! We just watched a video on TMZ of a woman at the airport who was psyched to see Ashford and Simpson but was disappointed when she found out it was just Ashlee Simpson. And then she asked to take a picture with her! Too funny…

But the real news is that while fiancé Pete Wentz was talking to the camera, he let it slip that he and Ashlee are filming a reality show! "We're 15 minutes into this reality show we're doing right now, the car's still not here," he laments to the cameraman. "At this point we've realized we're gonna make a whole episode out of this." When asked the name of the show, Pete said, "How To Not Get Picked Up At LAX." (We know you like long, obscure titles for your songs, but maybe that's not the way to go with this one, Pete.) Anyway, you heard it here!

(P.S. -- Ashlee previously denied reports that she and Pete were doing Newlyweds 2, but if the show's about prepping for the wedding and they're filming now, then they're technically not newlyweds!)

JT Gets Real

Hold the phones --- Justin Timberlake is jumping into reality TV. He's onboard to executive produce a show called The Phone, which is set to premiere this fall, MTV announced today. Described as a "real life Bourne Identity," the show is based on a Dutch series of the same name. Each eppie will open with two hidden cell phones ringing on opposite ends of a major city. When the phones are picked up, a "mysterious guide gives contestants five seconds to concede whether or not they wish to play the game for a chance of winning a huge cash prize." The players compete on various missions, talking to the guide via cell phone and being followed by a helicopter.

Hey, if one of the missions was to find JT and kiss him, we'd so be game!
