Hey everybody,
Happy New Year! I hope things have never been better out there in Cyberland! It's good to be back. Watching the ball drop on New Year's in New York City reminded me of my first ever trip to the city last October. Myself and six cast mates from Degrassi: The Next Generation went down to do some press for the show and to meet with The N. I will admit, it being my first time to the Big Apple, I was a little shutter-hungry with the ole digital camera. Can you blame me? I had a blast, took about 3,000 pictures (an exaggeration...perhaps) and figured it was the perfect time to be a little artsy and shoot in black and white. It seemed like everywhere I turned, there was something begging to be immortalized through the lens. I had no choice but to oblige. I was left behind more than once -- no biggie, I caught up.

Hello out there!
You guys may be reading this somewhere warm and tropical, but up here in Canada, the shadow of winter has returned to the sky, and it is getting cold. We don't let it bother us though -- it's almost snowboarding season! In the meantime, we keep ourselves occupied indoors. It was more than a little grey and unpleasant outside, so fellow castmate Dalmar Abuzeid and I hunkered down to compete in the most epic of all ping pong battles the world has ever seen.
Read Evan's gripping story, and see who's Degrassi's real king of ping pong!
Hey folks!
I promised to tell you guys more about our amazing trip to Ecuador, so that's what I'm gonna do. Although the focus of our trip was the building in San Miguel, we had the opportunity to do some exploring of the old neighborhood in the capital city of Quito to familiarize ourselves with the culture of the area. We took a trip to one of the oldest cathedrals in the city, and climbed about a million stairs to the very top of the highest tower. The wind was whipping up there and I felt a little exposed, but it was worth it to see the breathtaking view of the city. We played with a few alpaca (mountain llamas) during our time in the highlands.
Hello beautiful people!
I'm bursting at the seams to let you all in on the amazing adventure I've been on recently. It was insane. Myself and 13 other cast members from Degrassi traveled to the heart of Ecuador in South America with a non-profit charitable organization called Free The Children during a hiatus in our shooting schedule. The purpose of the trip was to help out an indigenous community called San Miguel de Pomachaca, which is in the arid highlands of Ecuador.
I'm back to share with you all the inside info on the set of Degrassi: The Next Generation. When we were on set filming episode 804, "Didn't We Almost Have it All," Sarah (who plays Liberty) and I were having some fun between takes. I don't know what it is, but something about the combination of being on set early in the morning, and being required to be high energy for filming results in Sarah and I being more than a little hyper once "cut" is called. Sometimes cast members on other projects I've done prefer to keep to themselves in the mornings, but oh no, not us.
