Gym Class...Dismissed!

Warped Tour is over. For the final date in Carson, CA, they had us slated to close out the festival on the Route 66 Main Stage. By the time we went on, the sun was going down and it made for a dramatic concluding performance underneath the dim lights of the stage. The large response from the crowd encouraged a grand finale performance from us, leaving us with one last awesome Warped Tour performance.

What's GCH doing now that Warped Tour is over? Matt fills you in!

Warped Tour Week 4

And so begins our decent into Middle America...Each day that I set foot off our bus I'm greeted by the blank stares and baffled expressions of the public. Silently gawking or whispering to one another, "What is this?" Our alien appearance of tattoos and tour laminates, is only appropriated by our monster sized spaceship of a tour bus.

OK...So maybe I'm being over dramatic. We're just another "freak in the freak kingdom" of Warped Tour. But still...

Goodbye, Florida

Just finished making our way through Florida. In Orlando, our bus was parked right up on a lake. Bassist Eric and I tried to obtain a two person inflatable raft, with the hopes of paddling out to a near-off island, but were unsuccessful in our attempts to acquire any sort of boat. However, we were able to score some fishing poles...

Matt McGinley's Restaurant Guide

Ahhhh...I can't stop sweating. I began layering my drum sticks with gauze everyday to prevent them from torpedo-ing out of my hands due to the humid air.

Right now, we're in New Orleans, and the humidity is unrelenting. We were lucky enough to have a day off yesterday in The French Quarter of the city. I spent a good portion of the day walking past storefront jazz clubs that conjured images of ancient Louis Armstrong performances. From the food to the architecture to the street names, it's very easy to see how French influence is still very much alive in New Orleans culture.

Matt is eating his way through the USA! See what restaurants he and Travis love.

Warped Tour: Week 1

Hey Everyone,

Being in a tour bus is a lot like being in a time machine...You go to sleep, and wake up somewhere entirely different. So most days begin with the usual routine...I wake up, step outside, and eyeball the landscape. Pomona, California...Great!! Been here twice before, so I know EXACTLY where the showers are. I hop on my bike, a twenty-one speed 'Giant' mountain bike, and head towards a clearing, squeezing down narrow alleys created between a sea of tour buses.

How was Matt's first week on the Warped Tour? Keep reading!
