Do you think you're like your character in any way?
We have a lot in common. She loves music. She's very passionate about her friends, and she also has that side to her where she doesn't expose herself fully to everyone and I have those moments where I do the same. She's figuring out who she is as a person, but at the same time, having to go through her father being sick. She makes this deal with the universe that maybe if she's a different person he could get better, and that doesn't always necessarily work out. So I was able to relate to Charlotte in the way that she befriended Will because I love people and I'm very much into hanging out with my friends, but at the same time, those things can always change when there's an event in your life that alters it.
